ABBEY ROAD....40 AÑOS DESPUÉS...40 YEARS AGO

Hace 40 años, el 8 de agosto de 1969, Los Beatles realizaban una sesión de fotos para la carátula de su último disco Abbey Road. La célebre foto muestra a John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney y George Harrison cruzando en fila india el paso de cebra, en una luminosa calle donde resalta un Volkswagen Escarabajo de color blanco aparcado a la izquierda. La imagen es fruto de Iain Macmillan, una sesión en la que sólo tomó seis instantáneas en diez minutos y en la que eligió la quinta de estas instántaneas.

El 8 de Agosto miles de fans se reunieron en el famoso paso de cebra de Abbey Road para celebrar este 40 aniversario.

Abbey Road, que contiene clásicos como Come together y Here comes the sun, se publicó el 26 de septiembre de 1969 y, a juicio de la revista musical Rolling Stone, es uno de los catorce mejores discos de todos los tiempos.



Forty years ago, the 8th of August, The Beatles were shot by Iain Macmillan for Abbey Road, the last album of their careers. In the picture you can see John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney y George Harrison walking on the zebra crossing of this famous street. You also can see a white Beatle car parked on the left side. The photograper took only six pictures in ten minutes and he chose the fith of them.

The last 8th of August many fans met at Abbey Road to celebrate this anniversary.

Abbey Road, was publised the 26th of September 1969 and the musical magazine Rolling Stones has recognised this album one of the best 14 albums ever.
